ELON, N.C.— Jessie Hunt tallied two assists as the Northeastern women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-1 victory over the Elon Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.  

• The Huskies once again got off to a quick start, with Katherine Marchesseault potting her first goal of the season in the seventh minute of action. Marchesseault blasted the ball past Elon's keeper after Hunt sent in the corner and Alexis Legowski headed it down to Marchesseault's foot.
• Megan Putvinski doubled the Northeastern lead in the second half, sneaking one past the keeper in the 58th minute. Addison Davis picked up her first point as a Husky with an assist and Hunt tallied her second of the day.
• The Phoenix were able to cut the deficit to 2-1 with a goal in the 85th minute, but the Huskies held strong in the final five minutes to secure the win.
• Goalkeeper Holland Stam made three saves in the victory.

Northeastern returns home to Parsons Field for Senior Day against Hampton on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
