NEWARK, Del.— Vivian Akyirem potted her fifth goal of the season as the Northeastern women's soccer team tied with the Delaware Blue Hens, 1-1, on Thursday night at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium.

• Akyirem put the Huskies up 1-0 with a header in the 24th minute. Akyirem's tally was assisted by Megan Putvinski, who is now riding a three-game point streak.
• Northeastern held a 1-0 lead until Delaware tied the game with under 10 seconds remaining.
• Holland Stam made one save in goal. The Huskies had seven shots on goal to Delaware's two.

The Huskies will next travel to Hofstra to face the Pride on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
