BROOKLINE, Mass.— Vivian Akyirem scored her first goal of the season, as the Northeastern women's soccer team tied the Boston University Terriers, 1-1, on Sunday evening at Parsons Field.
- Despite a 0-0 score line in the first half, both teams had several chances on goal, with Northeastern posting four shots on goal to the Terrier's three.
- In the second half, Akyirem posted her first goal of the season in 60th minute of action. Jessie Hunt linked up with Akyirem for her fourth assist of the year.
- The Terriers tied up the game at 1-1 in the 69th minute. Â
- Holland Stam posted two saves on the day and the Huskies outshot the Terriers eight to four.Â
Northeastern will next open CAA play against UNCW on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. at Parsons Field.
