Mt. Pleasant, S.C. – Northeastern (1-4-7, 0-3-2 CAA) drew with conference opponent Charleston (7-4-2, 2-1-2 CAA) by a score of 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.
- The Cougars got on the board first in the ninth-minute and held their lead and momentum for majority of the first half.
- Following a yellow card on the Cougars, the Huskies knotted the game at 1-1 in the 37th-minute of the game. After a steal in Northeastern's attacking end, junior Fraser Brown broke away for a one-on-one opportunity and eventually the game-tying goal.
- The first half ended in a 1-1 draw and despite many chances from both ends, including a penalty-kick opportunity for NU, neither team was able to convert.
- Northeastern was awarded seven corner kicks during the contest, four of which came in the first half.
- The Huskies took ten total shots in the second half after firing off six in the first.
The Huskies have a quick turnaround as they are back on the pitch at Parsons Field this Tuesday, Oct. 15 to host Dartmouth.
