RICHMOND, Va. – Northeastern freshman outside hitter
Brynn Smith has been selected to the 2024 CAA All-Rookie team, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Smith, ranks fourth on the squad with 168 total kills, averaging 2.55 per set. The freshman notched double-digit kills in eight matches, highlighted by 21 in a thrilling five-set win over William & Mary. Her performance against the Tribe ranks second in program history for the most kills in a single match by a freshman behind Hannah Boyd (23 kills vs. UNH 9/11/18). Smith also earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors in early October, and tallied four double-doubles this season.
