BOSTON— The No. 12 Northeastern women's hockey team fell to the Vermont Catamounts, 2-0, on Friday evening at Matthews Arena.
- The opening frame passed without either side finding the back of the net. Vermont broke the scoreless deadlock with a power-play tally at the 6:29 mark of the second period. The Catamounts took a 1-0 lead into the final period.
- As the final period wound down, Northeastern pulled goaltender Gwyneth Philips in favor of the extra attacker. Vermont scored an empty net goal to bring the final score to 2-0 in the Catamounts favor.
- Philips finished her evening in net with 15 saves. Graduate student Megan Carter led all players with four blocks.
Northeastern and Vermont will close out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies will celebrate their six-member senior class prior to puck drop.
