BROOKLINE, Mass. – On a rainy afternoon at Parsons Field, Northeastern (1-4-3, 0-3-0 CAA) fell to William & Mary (3-4-0, 1-1-0 CAA) by a score of 2-0 on Saturday, September 21st.
 

• The Huskies led in shots 5-2 at the half, and 12-5 overall while out-shooting the Tribe 6-3 on net, but were unable to get on the score sheet
• Northeastern once again got some early chances to start the game, tallying two shots on goal in the opening 10 minutes. The first one came off the foot of Ethan Franco, who stole a back pass from the W&M defense and dribbled past the goalkeeper, but his shot was cleared out of danger by a defender.
• Centerback Ethan Leary followed up Franco's effort on a header off a set piece – he redirected the ball downward and forced a tough save from the keeper, but the Tribe were able to clear the ball after the deflection.
• Despite the offensive pressure from NU, William & Mary converted on their second-half chances, tallying the go-ahead goal in the 47^th minute after a cross into the middle of the box couldn't be corralled by the Huskies, and fell to a charging William & Mary striker who slotted it into the net.
• The Tribe moved the ball well up field for its second goal in the 72^nd minute, with two long passes resulting in a diving header at the back post to lead 2-0.Northeastern tried to get on the board in the final minutes, with three more shots on target, but all were saved.

 
The Huskies hit the road for their next four contests, beginning this Tuesday, September 24^th at UMass Lowell. That game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
