Northeastern Swim And Dive Hosts Stony Brook For Senior Day

BOSTON — The Northeastern women's swimming and diving team (6-2) is back home this weekend, as they host Stony Brook (0-3) for Senior Day on Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. The event can be streamed on FloSwimming.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

  1. RUNNING RIOT AT THE RAMSDEN — Northeastern took care of business in its first meet of 2025, breaking multiple pool and meet records at last weekend's Tate Ramsden Invitational. Graduate student Emily Gjertsen, senior Hannah Seward, and junior Anna Verlander all set pool records, with sophomore May Bradburn and Gjertsen also setting new meet records. The Huskies totaled 10 wins over the two-day meet to help them edge hosts Dartmouth 180-156 and UMass 256-79.
  2. SPECIAL SENIORS — The Northeastern swim and dive team celebrates 14 Huskies for senior day this Saturday at Barletta Natatorium. Mixed with four-year athletes and first-year transfers, this group has accomplished much during their time, including a program-best third-place finish at the CAA Championships, three all-conference selections, and two Diver of the Year awards. This year alone, the team has broken a program record and earned five victories through its first seven meets.
  3. SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES — Northeastern welcomes Stony Brook to Barletta for the first time since both teams joined the CAA. The Huskies have outscored the Seawolves in every CAA Championship. Stony Brook has yet to win a meet this season, with their best result coming at the ECAC Championships, where they finished 5th overall.

After Senior Day, the Huskies return to the FitRec Competition Pool for the Boston Winter Open, hosted by Boston University. The two-day meeting will take place on January 7 and 8.
