HAMDEN, Conn.— The No. 12 Northeastern women's hockey team scored three unanswered goals to tie the game at 3-3, but eventually fell to the No. 7 Quinnipiac Bobcats, 5-3, on Friday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.
- Quinnipiac opened the scoring the first frame, scoring at the 13:02 mark to take a 1-0 lead into the end of the first period. The Bobcats then scored two more goals in the second to jump out to a 3-0 lead.
- With under four minutes remaining in the second period, sophomore Éloïse Caron scored for Northeastern to cut the deficit to two headed into the final frame. Caron's goal was assisted by freshman Stryker Zablocki and freshman Emy McDermid. It marked McDermid's first collegiate point.
- In the third, senior Jules Constantinople scored back-to-back power-play goals to knot the game at 3-3. Her first goal had assists from Zablocki and senior Lily Shannon, while her second had helpers from Shannon and sophomore Tuva Kandell.
- The Bobcats took back control of the game with under four minutes remaining, scoring twice to bring the final score to 5-3.
- Sophomore goaltender Lisa Jönsson posted 19 saves in her first loss of the season.
- The Huskies outshot the Bobcats, 33-24.
Northeastern and Quinnipiac will close out the two-game series on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
