No. 12 Huskies Dominate BU, 7-3

BOSTON— Senior Kristina Allard and graduate student Jaden Bogden both tallied three-point performances to lead the No. 12 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 7-3 victory over crosstown rival Boston University on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena. With the win, the Huskies swept BU to improve to 6-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in Hockey East play.

Northeastern's seven goals are its most in a game since Feb. 28, 2021, while its four power-play goals mark the first time the Huskies have gone 4-for-6 on the power-play since Feb. 26, 2022.

Allard, Bogden, senior Lily Shannon, junior Allie Lalonde, senior Jules Constantinople, sophomore Éloïse Caron and sophomore Morgan Jackson all posted multi-point efforts in the victory.
  • Bogden opened the scoring with a power-play goal just over five minutes into the game. Her tally was assisted by Caron and Lalonde.
  • NU extended its lead to 2-0 before the end of the first period when Caron scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season, assisted by Allard and Bogden.
  • The Huskies continued to pour it on in the second period with Shannon scoring on the power play at 8:24, assisted by Constantinople and freshman Alessia Baechler. Allard then scored her first goal of the season just 35 seconds later with helpers from junior Ella Blackmore and senior Lily Brazis to give Northeastern a 4-0 lead.
  • The Terriers cut the deficit to 4-2 before the end of the second period.
  • The third frame again belonged to the Huskies with Shannon, Bogden and Jackson all scoring. Shannon capitalized on a power-play to score at 9:20 with assists from Constantinople and Jackson.
  • Bogden added her second goal of the day at 10:51, also on the power-play, with helpers from Lalonde and Allard.
  • BU scored with 1:38 remaining to make the score 6-3.
  • Jackson closed out the scoring with an empty-net goal at 19:38, assisted by freshman Stryker Zablocki and junior Rylie Jones.
  • Sophomore Lisa Jönsson improved to 5-1-0 on the season with the win.
