ORONO, Maine— The No. 8 Northeastern women's hockey team scored two goals in the first four minutes to help secure a 3-1 victory at Maine on Friday night at Alfond Arena. With the win, Northeastern improves to 11-2-0 on the season and 8-0-0 in Hockey East play. The victory also marked the Huskies' first win in Orono since 2022.

Jaden Bogden all tallied two assists.
- A mere 35 seconds into the contest, Shannon scored for Northeastern. Shannon's seventh of the season was assisted by her linemates Zablocki and Bogden.
- Just over three minutes after Shannon's goal, sophomore Morgan Jackson scored on the power-play to put Northeastern ahead 2-0. Jackson's goal had helpers from s Constantinople and Zablocki. It marked Northeastern's seventh-straight game with a power-play goal.
- Neither side scored a goal in the second and Shannon finally gave the Huskies a 3-0 lead with an empty-net goal. Shannon's team-leading eighth goal of the season had assists from Constantinople and Bogden.
- Maine got on the board at the 18:33 mark of the third period to bring the final score to 3-1.
- Sophomore netminder Lisa Jönsson made a season-high 27 saves against the Black Bears. Jönsson is now 9-1-0 on the season.
Northeastern and Maine will close out the two-game series on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m.
