Jaden Bogden each added a goal and an assist as the seventh-ranked Northeastern women's ice hockey team defeated the No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions, 3-2, Friday afternoon at Matthews Arena.

The Huskies notched their first ranked win of the season with the victory and improve to 9-0-0 in Matthews Arena.
- Northeastern struck first late in the opening period when Bogden found the back of the net at 19:36, assisted by freshman Stryker Zablocki and Shannon. The Huskies carried the 1-0 advantage into the first intermission despite being outshot 16-1.
- The second period again belonged to Northeastern as the Huskies extended their lead with two more goals. Freshman Alessia Baechler notched her first collegiate goal at 13:12, with helpers from freshman Emy McDermid and senior Lily Brazis.
- Shannon then made it 3-0 at 16:46, collecting her 11th goal of the season from Bogden and McDermid.
- Penn State responded in the third period with goals from Grace Outwater at 3:31 and Mya Vaslet at 7:32, cutting the deficit to one. The Nittany Lions pulled their goalie late and fired 11 shots in the final frame, but Northeastern's defense held strong to preserve the 3-2.
- Sophomore netminder Lisa Jönsson posted a season-high 34 saves in the victory and improves to 10-1-0 on the season.
Northeastern and Penn State will close out the two-game series at Gloucester's Dorothy Talbot Rink on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. There is no live stream, but live stats will be available.
