THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- KEEP CALM AND CARON ON: Sophomore Éloïse Caron leads all Huskies with six goals, the second-best mark among all Hockey East players. Her two game-winning goals are tied to lead all Hockey East players. She has scored a goal in four-straight games, tied for the longest goal streak in the nation.
- CHARGED UP: The Huskies power-play ranks tied for fifth in the NCAA, converting at a .278 clip. Northeastern scored four power-play goals against BU on Saturday, Nov. 1, its most power-play goals since Feb. 26, 2022. Overall, offensively, the Huskies have scored 31 goals, the 11th-best mark in the NCAA. Of the 31 goals, 10 have come on the power-play. It took Northeastern just eight games to reach the 30-goal threshold this season, its fewest games since it took seven in 2022-23. The Huskies needed 15 games in 2024-25 and 14 games in 2023-24 to reach the 30-goal mark.
- CATS VS. DAWGS: Northeastern is off to a 3-0-0 start in Hockey East play, its best start since 2022-23 when they started 5-0-0. The Catamounts are 1-0-1 to start league play, defeating and then tying BC this past weekend. UVM won the Hockey East series last year, 2-1, against the Huskies for the second-straight season. NU is looking for its first win over Vermont in Matthews since Dec. 3, 2022. Stella Retrum leads all UVM players with seven points. In goal, Ellie Simmons has started six games for the Catamounts and owns a 2.44 GAA and .849 save percentage.
Northeastern will next face Merrimack in a home-and-home series beginning with a home game for Military Appreciation on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
