Lily Shannon factored into all three goals to guide the No. 9 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 3-2 victory over Vermont on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena.

With the win, the Huskies remain undefeated at Matthews Arena this season (7-0-0) and undefeated in Hockey East play (5-0-0). Also with the victory, Northeastern earned the Hockey East series win over the Catamounts for the first time since the 2022-23 season.Â
- Northeastern's power-play stayed hot, getting a goal in a fourth-straight game. Shannon scored on the player advantage to put NU up 1-0, just under six minutes into the game. Before the frame ended, Vermont scored to tie the game at 1-1.
- In the second, Vermont jumped out to a 2-1 lead just 57 seconds into the period. Freshman Stryker Zablocki equalized for the Huskies just over three minutes later to bring the score to 2-2. Zablocki's goal was assisted by sophomore Morgan Jackson and Shannon.
- At the 10:17 mark of the second, senior Jules Constantinople potted her NCAA-leading fourth power-play goal of the year, which counted as the eventual game-winner to put NU up 3-2. Constantinople had helpers from Jackson and Shannon who each posted two assists on the day.Â
- The Huskies locked down Vermont in the third period to seal the victory at 3-2.
- Sophomore netminder Lisa Jönsson improved to 7-1-0 on the season and made 19 saves.
Northeastern will next host Merrimack for its Military Appreciation game on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
