Tuva Kandell scored in overtime to propel the No. 14/12 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-3 victory over No. 15 Connecticut on Saturday night at Toscano Family Ice Forum.

Skylar Irving all finished with multi-point performances for the Huskies.
- A scoreless first period gave way to Irving opening the scoring at the 6:23 mark of the second period with assists from Yovetich and Bogden. UConn then tied the game before the end of the second at 1-1.
- Connecticut took a 2-1 lead in the third with a power-play goal just over five minutes into the frame. Shannon tied the game up for the Huskies at 2-2 after blasting home a feed from Irving, with Yovetich picking up a secondary assist.
- Just under two minutes later, Bogden gave the Huskies a 3-2 lead with her sixth goal of the season off a feed from Shannon.
- Northeastern was assessed a five-minute major penalty and a two-minute minor penalty, with UConn scoring on the ensuing 5-on-3 advantage to once again tie the game at 3-3 at the 12:41 mark.
- UConn took a five-minute major penalty with a little over 30 seconds left to play in the game. The two sides then skated to overtime with Northeastern owning the player advantage.
- Kandell scored the game-winner for the Huskies 1:05 into overtime to deliver the Huskies a 4-3 victory. Kandell had helpers from junior Jules Constantinople and sophomore Allie Lalonde.
- Freshman netminder Lisa Jönsson posted 17 saves in her 14th win of the season.Â
Northeastern has a short turnaround and will host Boston University on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
