BOSTON— Despite two-point outings from sophomore
Allie Lalonde and freshman
Tuva Kandell, the No. 15 Northeastern women's hockey dropped to Boston College, 3-2, on Senior Day at Matthews Arena.
- Freshman Éloïse Caron potted her third goal in two games against the Eagles to open the scoring. Caron's tally gave Northeastern a 1-0 lead just under 10 minutes into the game and it was assisted by Lalonde and Kandell.
- Boston College scored twice in the second to take a 2-1 lead into the final frame.
- Kandell knotted up the game at 2-2 after Lalonde won a faceoff directly to Kandell who blasted it home.
- The Eagles scored the eventual game-winner at the 10:13 mark of the third period. The Huskies pulled freshman netminder Lisa Jönsson with 1:24 to play in the game but could not find the equalizer.
- Jönsson finished with 23 saves in the game.
Northeastern will close out the regular season on the road at Vermont beginning on Friday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m.
