BOSTON – College of Charleston (21-7, 11-4) held the Northeastern men's basketball team to a 39% shooting performance and received 20 points from Ante Brzovic en route to a 73-62 victory over Huskies (15-13, 7-8) on Thursday night at Matthews Arena, 73-62.

Harold Woods led four Huskies in double figures, going for 19 points and seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. He was joined by
Rashad King (15 points, five rebounds),
JB Frankel (11 points, seven rebounds) and
LA Pratt (10 points, four assists) while
Collin Metcalf added eight rebounds and six blocks.

Charleston, meanwhile, shot 52% as a team and also put four players in double figures, including a double-double from Deywilk Tavarez (13 points, 11 rebounds).

Woods couldn't be stopped in the first half, going for 13 on 6-of-10 shooting along with five boards and three assists to lead a Northeastern team that shot 43 overall.

Charleston, though, had eight players find the scoresheet during at 53% first half shooting performance to take a six-point lead into the break, 39-33. Brzovic went for 10 on 4-of-7 overall for the Cougars, who scored 28 of their 39 points in the paint and led by as many as 10 midway through the half before a 9-2 Northeastern run brought it back within single digits.

After the Cougars used an 8-0 run to take a 12-point lead with 14:31 to play, the Huskies fought to stay in it the rest of the way, cutting the gap to eight at the Under-12 timeout, seven at the Under-8 and six at the Under-4.

King got hot late for Northeastern, going for 10 points over the final 20 minutes to keep the hosts in it, but the Huskies couldn't get within a possession as the Cougars hit their final three shots down the stretch to secure the lead.

The Huskies will head out on the road for a Monday night matchup at Monmouth. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
