BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team finished the weekend with a series split as they fell to No. 9/8 Boston University, 3-1, on Saturday night.
- Following the opening 12:30 of action, the Terriers took a 1-0 advantage that would carry over into the second period.
- Both the Huskies and Terriers saw their fair share of chances in the middle frame, but went scoreless as BU held their 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.
- Northeastern made it a 1-1 game just 5:53 into the third period. Dancing his way through the Terriers' defensive line, junior Joaquim Lemay netted the game-tying tally and his second of the season. Senior Ryan McGuire and freshman James Fisher earned the assists.
- The Terriers would eventually close out with two more goals for a 3-1 win.
- Sophomore Cameron Whitehead finished with 24 saves in 58:53 minutes of action.
- Junior Jackson Dorrington led both teams with four blocks while junior Cam Lund tied for a game-high four shots.
With only two weekends left in the regular season, Northeastern will continue with a home-and-home against UConn that starts with a Friday night (Fed. 28) road game in Storrs, Conn.
