PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Northeastern Men's Rowing team took to the Cooper River for the IRA National Championship this weekend, facing off against the nation's top crews in a highly competitive field.

The Huskies' First Varsity Eight raced in a stacked semifinal featuring California, Harvard, Syracuse, Princeton, and Stanford. Northeastern blasted off the line with an aggressive pace, staying locked in the fight for a spot in the A Final. In a tightly contested battle, the Huskies ultimately finished just two seats behind Princeton, narrowly missing the A Final but securing the top qualifying spot for the B Final.

In the Second Varsity Eight semifinal, Northeastern lined up against Washington, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Dartmouth in a deep, competitive field. The Huskies stormed off the line, taking the race to Yale early and holding the lead for much of the piece. In a thrilling race down the course, the Huskies battled fiercely but ultimately came up just short of a top-three qualifying spot for the A Final. Northeastern's strong row secured them the top seed in tomorrow's B Final.

Northeastern's coxed four took the water in the D Final against Wisconsin and Colgate, determined to close the regatta on a high note. The Huskies got off the line clean and quick, establishing themselves in the front of the pack. Maintaining their composure through the middle of the course, they held off all challenges and powered through to the line, securing the win in the event and finishing their IRA campaign with a strong statement.
