Four Huskies Named To NABC Honors Court

BOSTON – Four members of the Northeastern men's basketball program (Youri Fritz, Alexander Nwagha, LA Pratt, Sam Thomson) earned academic honors from the NABC on Thursday.

The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

"Education is one of the NABC's five core values, and we are proud to recognize the academic accomplishments of these programs and individual student-athletes across our sport," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "The dedication and hard work of these athletes, along with their coaches and support staff members who prioritize academic success, deserves to be widely celebrated."

Fritz, a health science major from Tiel, Netherlands, played in 23 games and averaged 4.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He reached double figures three times, including a career-high 13 points twice, and enters his senior season in 2025-26.

Pratt will also return to the Huskies for his senior season after playing in 31 games as Northeastern's point guard. He was fourth on the team in scoring (11.2) and third in minutes (31.2) while shooting 43% overall (141-of-328), and averaged 11.6 points per game (third on team) in conference action. He is a business administration major from Columbus, Ohio.

Nwagha (Milton, Ontario) and Thomson (Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario) both completed their collegiate careers in 2024-25 while pursuing graduate degrees in information design/visualization and management, respectively.
