BROOKLINE, Mass. – In the first game of their 2025 campaign, the Northeastern Huskies men's soccer team (0-0-1) drew with the Holy Cross Crusaders (0-0-1) with a final score of 1-1 at Parsons Field on Thursday evening.
- Both goals came early in the first half, with Holy Cross opening the scoring in the 16th minute on an own goal off a dangerous set piece.
- Northeastern responded in the 24th minute on a shot by Kade Tepe that was saved but rebounded to Bryce Flowers for the equalizer.
- Northeastern held Holy Cross to no shots on goal until midway through the second half, clogging the Crusaders' passing lanes and keeping the pressure off their back line. NU out-shot Holy Cross 8-5 overall in the contest, 4-2 on goal.
- Tobias Jahn made his return to net playing his first game since early in the 2024 season. Jahn stopped both shots on goal he faced, with friendly fire as the only blemish on his line.
- Northeastern kept the pressure on with five total corners in the contest, while the Huskies did not give up a single corner to the Crusaders.
- Flowers, a transfer from Penn State, scored his first collegiate goal in the contest in his Huskies debut.
