BROOKLINE, Mass. – Trailing by a goal at halftime, the Northeastern men's soccer team (1-0-1) tallied three goals in the final 45 minutes to defeat Stonehill (0-2-0) by a score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field.

Two goals in the span of two minutes early in the second half by
Jaden Prado and
Bryce Flowers brought the Huskies from down 0-1 to up 2-1. Flowers would add a second goal midway through the second to give the Huskies their first win of the season.

- Stonehill jumped out in front in the 16th minute on a clearance by the goalkeeper that was headed over the defense to a striker who was able to convert for the 1-0 lead.
- NU's best chance of the first half came in the 28th minute when a shot by Kade Tepe was lightly tipped by the keeper but was cleared off the line by a Stonehill defender, holding the Skyhawks' lead.
- The Huskies came out firing to begin the second half, and converted on a quick passing sequence from Fraser Brown to freshman Will Schmidt and senior winger Jaden Prado. Prado took the pass from Schmidt and sprinted into the box, firing a hard low shot with his left foot that beat the keeper to tie the game at 1-1 in the 54th minute.
- Just under two minutes later, the Huskies regained possession in their own half, with centerback Rohin Kapila sending a long clearance over the back line that was collected by Bryce Flowers, who was all alone with the goalkeeper. His right-footed shot was tapped past the goalkeeper for Northeastern's first lead of the season.
- Northeastern would add the insurance in the 69th minute on a great build up from Neil Devnani and Morris Matthews. Devnani set up Matthews for the quick shot from the right side of the net that was saved, but the rebound fell to Flowers who put the ball in the net for his second of the game.
- After being out-shot in the first, Northeastern ended the game leading in shots 13-11, 8-5 on goal.
- Starting goalkeeper Tobias Jahn made four saves in the contest, earning his first win as a Husky. His record on the year matches Northeatern's at 1-0-1.
- Flowers recorded his first career brace, after notching his first career goal on Thursday in the season opener. He tallied three goals in his first two games as a Northeastern Husky.
