PHILADELPHIA – In its first CAA game of the season, the Northeastern University men's soccer team (1-1-1, 0-1-0 CAA) was unable to come back from a two-goal and one-man deficit, falling to the Drexel Dragons (1-1-1, 1-0-0 CAA) by a score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Vidas Field.
 

• Drexel struck first in the 23^rd minute on a cross into the box that was screened from the goalkeeper and tapped in for the 1-0 lead.
• The Dragons extended their lead in the 27^th minute when a shot from distance rattled the crossbar and fell straight down and was ruled a good goal.
• The Huskies found themselves in further trouble due to a pair of yellow cards in the 36^th minute and a straight red in the 40^th, bringing them down to 10 men for the rest of the game.
• In the final minute before half time, a turnover in the attacking third fell to Jaden Prado, who set up Morris Matthews for a long distance shot that rattled off the crossbar and in, cutting the deficit down to 2-1.
• Northeastern was unable to generate a positive chance in the second half, tallying just two total shots to Drexel's seven.
• It's the third game in a row where the Huskies have conceded the first goal, after tying and winning their first two games of the season after falling behind.
