BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern women's soccer team fell to the Providence College Friars, 2-1, on senior night at Parsons Field.
- A scoreless first 45 minutes saw each side record one shot on goal.
- Just under four minutes into the second half, graduate student Bridget Gleason scored to put the Huskies up 1-0. Sophomore Lughano Nyondo added on her second assist of the season to Gleason's first goal as a Husky.
- The Friars then put home two goals six minutes apart to take a 2-1 lead. The Huskies were unable to find the equalizer and fell by a 2-1 decision.
- Junior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow finished with two saves.
Northeastern will next hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to Bryant on Thursday, Aug. 28 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
