BURLINGTON, Vt.— The Northeastern women's soccer team closed out its non-conference slate with a 2-2 tie against the Vermont Catamounts on Thursday evening at Virtue Field.
- On the Huskies first shot of the game, senior Lauren Ahles scored to give Northeastern a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of action. Sophomore Lughano Nyondo played the ball up to Ahles for her fourth assist of the season.
- Two minutes after Ahles' tally, junior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow stepped up to make a big save to preserve the Huskies' 1-0 lead in the first half.
- In the second half, sophomore Claire Murray registered the Huskies' second goal of the game on their second shot of the game to widen the lead to 2-0. Murray dribbled the ball up from midfield and scored from well beyond the box for her fourth tally of the season.
- The Huskies allowed two UVM goals in the last five minutes to bring the final score to 2-2.
- Teplow finished with three saves in goal.Â
The Huskies will next turn to CAA play, hosting UNCW at Parsons Field on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. Â
