CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a hard-fought cross-city battle, the Northeastern Huskies (2-4-2) drew with the Harvard Crimson (3-1-2) by a score of 0-0 at Jordan Field on Tuesday night.
- Northeastern came out dominating possession to start, and got their best scoring chance of the half in the ninth minute on a long ball to Shai Saarony, but his curling shot couldn't find the top bin and went wide.
- The NU defense stood strong in the first, allowing just one shot on goal that was saved by Tobias Jahn and kept out on the rebound by Christoph Schurz.
- The Huskies got another good scoring chance in the 83rd from Richard Conces, who rattled a long shot off the top of the crossbar and over.
- Despite a wide margin in overall shots, the two teams were relatively even in shots on target, with Harvard finishing the game with two to Northeastern's one.
- Tobias Jahn and the Husky defense posted the team's first shutout of the season, with Jahn making two saves on the night. It was just the second shutout against Harvard this season.
- It's the second straight meeting between Northeastern and Harvard in men's soccer that ended in a 0-0 final score.
The Huskies return home to Parsons Field this Saturday, September 27
