BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Down to 10 men for the final 46 minutes, the Northeastern men's soccer team (2-5-2, 1-3-0 CAA) fell to the Stony Brook Seawolves (4-3-3, 1-2-1 CAA) by a score of 2-0 at Parsons Field on Saturday afternoon.

- The Huskies controlled possession to start the game, but the Seawolves countered with a flurry of offensive chances 10 minutes in, finally breaking through in the 13th minute on a header to lead 1-0.
- Just before halftime, Northeastern was issued a red card for a one on one tackle as the last man back stopped a charging Seawolf attacker, and would play the rest of the game down to 10 men.
- NU outshot SBU 8-5 in the second half but was unable to convert on any scoring chances, while Stony Brook took advantage of the red card to score over the top to make it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.

Northeastern travels to Long Island next Saturday for its next conference match, at Hofstra on October 4
