BOSTON – After recording a three-point night in his collegiate debut, freshman defensemen Jordan Tourigny was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week by Hockey East on Monday.

Tourigny had a goal and an assist last Saturday, helping the Huskies to a 5-1 victory at Bentley. The Victoriaville, Quebec native opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game with his first collegiate goal. After a quick zone entry, Jacob Mathieu slid the puck across to Tyler Fukakusa just inside the blueline. Fukakusa then patiently waited for an opening before firing it across to Tourigny at the left faceoff dot for the one-timer past Bentley goaltender Nicholas Bevilacqua.

Tourigny would go on to add a pair of second period assists, including the primary helper on Noah Laberge's first collegiate goal midway through the frame.

Tournigny is the first Husky to record three points in his collegiate debut since Steven Agriogianis against Merrimack in December 2020, and the first Northeastern blueliner with a three-point night since Vinny Borgesi on Dec. 7, 2024.

Tourigny and the Huskies are back in action this weekend when Northeastern travels to No. 19 Massachusetts for a two-game series, beginning on Friday night at the Mullins Center (7 p.m. on ESPN+).
