No. 5 Northeastern Tripped Up In OT By Boston College

WALTHAM, Mass.— Despite a 31-save performance from sophomore netminder Lisa Jönsson, the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team fell to the Boston College Eagles, 1-0, in overtime on Sunday evening.
  • It was a scoreless affair through 60 minutes of regulation. Both sides headed to overtime with one Hockey East point.
  • In overtime, junior Allie Lalonde was whistled for a slash and the Eagles capitalized on the power-play to win 1-0 at the 2:50 mark.
  • The Huskies outshot the Eagles, 38-32. Freshman Stryker Zablocki led all Huskies with eight shots.
  • Jönsson posted 31 saves in the effort and has still not dropped a regulation game in Hockey East play.
Northeastern will next travel to No. 6 UConn on Friday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
