PROVIDENCE, R.I.— Down 2-0 after the first period, the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team scored four unanswered goals to defeat the Providence College Friars, 4-2, on Saturday evening. Freshman

With the win, Northeastern ended the regular season with a 26-7-1 overall record and 21-2-1 Hockey East record.
- In the first period, Providence scored twice on its first two shots just 1:01 into the game. The Friars took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
- Midway through the second period, Zablocki cut the deficit to 2-1 for Northeastern with her 17th goal of the season. Zablocki's breakaway goal was assisted by juniors Allie Lalonde and Rylie Jones.
- Lalonde tied up the game for the Huskies at 2-2 in the third period, with assists from Zablocki and senior Kristina Allard.
- Just 36 seconds after Lalonde tied it, senior Lily Shannon gave the Huskies their first lead of the game. Shannon's tally put NU ahead 3-2 with assists from freshman Emy McDermid and Jones.
- Zablocki then scored an empty-netter to push the final score to 4-2 with assists from sophomore Morgan Jackson and Allard.
- Freshman Renna Trembecky improved her record to 8-2-0 and made 22 saves in the win.

The Huskies will next play on Saturday, Feb. 28 in the Hockey East Quaterfinals and own the No. 1 seed in the Hockey East Tournament.Â
