PORTLAND, Maine -- The Northeastern men's hockey team was shutout by No. 20/RV Maine, 4-0, on Friday night at Cross Insurance Arena.
Maine struck just over midway through the first period before adding three unanswered goals in the second. Owen Fowler tallied the opening two goals of the night, while Brandon Holt and Josh Nadeau each added one in the second frame.
Senior Vinny Borgesi led all Huskies skaters with four shots on goal and two blocks. Junior goaltender Lawton Zacher turned aside 23 shots in net, playing 58:48 minutes.
The Huskies will close out their series against Maine tomorrow night at 7 p.m. from Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
