HAMPTON, Va. – William Kermoury recorded his first collegiate double-double and the Northeastern men's basketball team (6-22, 2-15) led by five at halftime before Hampton (13-17, 7-10) held the Huskies to 27% shooting in the second half en route to a 76-65 win on Saturday afternoon at the Hampton Convocation Center.

Kermoury, coming off the bench, finished with 13 points on 6-of-16 shooting along with 10 boards to lead four Huskies in double figures. He was joined by
Youri Fritz (13 points, eight rebounds),
Mike Loughnane (10 points, seven rebounds) and
Xavier Abreu (10 points, four rebounds.

The Huskies finished 24-of-62 as a team and 3-of-20 from deep, while the Pirates shot 51% from the field and 4-of-15 from distance, led by 21 points from Michael Eley.

Neither team led by more than five points in a first half that saw six ties and 13 lead changes before Northeastern used an 11-2 run over the final 2:38 to take a 38-33 lead into the break, hitting its final five shots in the process.

Six Huskies had five points or more in the half, led by eight from Abreu as Northeastern shot 54% overall and 43% from long range. Hampton, meanwhile, shot 50% from the floor and received 12 points from Eley in the opening 20 minutes.

The script flipped in the second half, with the Huskies opening 3-of-12 from the floor allowing Hampton to go on an 13-1 run over 4:36 to take control of the game.

Northeastern would go on to shoot 9-of-34 in the second half (0-of-13 from three), but used an 8-2 run in just 42 seconds to make it a four point game with two minutes to play, but Hampton would salt the game away at the line to take the victory.

The Huskies will close out the regular season on Tuesday when Northeastern hosts Monmouth. Tip-off at the Cabot Center is set for 7 p.m. on FloCollege.
