Women's Rowing Readies For Eastern Sprints

BOSTON — The Northeastern women's rowing team opens postseason competition this Sunday, May 3 at the 51st annual Women's Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. IT'S A SPRINT, NOT A MARATHON: The Huskies are set to race six boats this weekend, with four eights and two fours representing Northeastern. Action begins for the Huskies at 8:40 a.m. with the second varsity four. Heats conclude at 10:50 a.m. before finals get going at 2:30 p.m., opened by the fourth varsity eight
  2. LAST TIME OUT: Coming off a bye, NU last raced April 18 at the Lake Morey Regatta. The Huskies stayed competitive throughout the day, highlighted by Cece Cole stroking the fourth varsity eight to a first-place finish over Dartmouth at 7:07.59.
  3. DEFEND THE TITLE: Twelve in a row is on the line for Northeastern at the 2026 CAA Rowing Championships in Cherry Hill, N.J. The Huskies look to extend their dynasty with heats on Friday, May 15 and finals on Saturday, May 16.
