Gainesville, Ga. — For the first time since the 2016-17 season, the Northeastern women's rowing team advanced all three boats to the C Finals at the 2026 NCAA Rowing Championship at Lake Lanier Olympic Park following Friday's heats and semifinals.
In Friday's heats, the first varsity eight, stroked by Ava Sjogren, placed fifth with a time of 6:30.636, while the second varsity eight, stroked by Evie Gaylord, also finished fifth in a time of 6:27.941. The varsity four rounded out the day with a sixth-place finish in 7:15.185.
In the semifinals, the first varsity eight, coxed by Isabella Hsia, placed third in the C/D semifinals with a time of 6:25.014. The second varsity eight, coxed by Norah Smith, also finished third in a time of 6:31.895, and the varsity four, coxed by Isabella Leao, matched that result with a third-place finish in 7:19.627.
Sunday's final kicks off with the varsity four at 8:24 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 8:48 a.m. and the varsity eight at 9:12 a.m.
