BOSTON— Northeastern women's soccer head coach
Ashley Phillips has announced the signing of eight newcomers ahead of the 2026 season. The eight-member class consists of seven freshman and one
transfer.
The Huskies will welcome Lula Arcila, Scarlett Baur, Bridget Durkin, Ruby Mathis, Ella McGee, Lauren Sutliffe, Kamble Paterson and Chloe Price.
Lula Arcila
Position: Midfielder
Hometown: Miami, Florida
High School: Miami Country Day School
Club: Florida United
- Played six years of Varsity at Miami Country Day School and won the Rookie of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All Dade County, Offensive Player of the Year, All Dade County 4A 2A First Team, MVP, and the Golden Boot.
- Played two years for the Miami Breakers FC Elite and then three years with Florida United SC.
Scarlett Baur
Position: Forward
Hometown: Miami, Florida
High School: Palmer Trinity School
Club: Palm Beach Predators
- Seven-year Varsity member and two year captain.
- Was a four-time First Team All County, Miami Herald Player of the Year, four year top goal scorer and season MVP.
- Played for Miami Shores 2012-2020, Key Biscayne SC 2020-2021, Miami Breakers 2021-2022 (Team Captain), Palm Beach Predators GA 2022-2026 and GA talent ID select.
Bridget Durkin
Position: Forward
Hometown: Evanston, Illinois

- Four-year member at Evanston Township High School, team captain senior year. All Sectional (sophomore and junior), MVP (junior), All Conference (freshman, sophomore, and junior), leading assists (sophomore and junior), leading goal scorer (junior).
- Played for Chicago FC United from seventh grade to twelfth grade and was the leading goal scorer three years in a row.
Ruby Mathis
Position: Defender
Hometown: Acton, Massachusetts

- Played on Acton Boxborough Regional High School girls varsity soccer team all four years and was a senior captain.
- Earned a DCL all-star, first team Eastern Mass team, and All State.
- Member of FC Stars of Massachusetts for twelve years.
Ella McGee
Position: Forward
Hometown: Monroe, Connecticut
High School: Masuk High School
Club: FSA ECNL
- Four-year varsity member at Masuk High School, captain in 2025.
- Earned All-Conference (2024, 2025), All State (2025), All-New-England (2025) and was a State Champion (2025) and State Tournament MVP (2025).
- Captain of Ole Football Club (2021-2025) and a State Cup Champion (2024, 2025).
Lauren Sutliffe
Position: Defender
Hometown: Duxbury, Massachusetts

- Varsity member at Duxbury High School, was a senior captain.
- Earned Eastern Mass All Star First Team (sophomore, junior, senior), Boston Globe All Scholastic (senior), Boston Herald All Scholastic (senior), Patriot Ledger Player of the Year (senior), All State (junior), All New England (senior), MVP of the Patriot League (senior).
- Was the top point scorer of the Patriot League (junior and senior), Offensive MVP (sophomore, junior), Team MVP (senior), Patriot League All-star (sophomore, junior, senior), and D2 MIAA state champions 2025.
Kamble Paterson

- Helped Henry Wise Wood win its first Division 1 title in two decades, leading the team in goals and assists as a first year.
- Played with Foothills 08 and was ranked first in the nation going undefeated for four straight seasons and winning the league five times
- Moved to Blizzard League 1 and won the league, advancing to the interprovincial championship.
- Ranked first in the nation by FTF in 2023, three-time FTF Midfielder of the combine and two-time Best Starting XI selection at the Top 60 National combine.
- Served as captain and won gold at the Alberta Winter Games, and won the Alberta League 1 title as the youngest player on the team, going on to compete for the League 1 Canada title.
Chloe Price

- Vice-captain of Liverpool FC, part of the leadership group all 4 years.
- Won the Liverpool FA County Cup consecutively, PGA U21 league, PGA U16 league, semi-finalist in the FA cup.
