BOSTON – Anelise Kim of the Northeastern swimming and diving team has been named a Second Team Scholar All-American by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Kim, a behavioral neuroscience major on the pre-med track, maintained a 3.98 grade point average while competing at the highest level for Northeastern's diving program. She competed at the CAA Championships in each season of her collegiate career, highlighted by capturing a bronze medal in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives in 2026. She also qualified for NCAA Zones every year and competed at the NCAA Zone Championships in 2023 and 2026.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met an NIC "A" time standard in Division I or an NCAA "B" qualifying standard for the national championship.
In addition to her work in the pool and the classroom, Kim has been an active member of the Northeastern community throughout her time on Huntington Avenue. During her sophomore year, she served as an academic tutor within the Athletics Tutoring Program, providing support to fellow student-athletes and adapting her teaching style to fit individual learning needs. Kim also served as Education Chair for the Mental-Wellness for Athletes Committee and as a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent. Through these roles, she actively promoted and advocated for student-athlete mental health through awareness campaigns and initiatives, including coordinating a mental health awareness meet for the swimming and diving team.
Kim also completed co-ops at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
