2009: Gustafson finished the season with a .276 batting average and .336 on-base percentage...started every game in center field and did not commit an error all season...led the team with 18 doubles which is the second highest single season total ever at NU...went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run in the Huskies final game of the season against Delaware...scored two runs and had one RBI in the final regular season game against Towson...went 2-for-2 with two runs and a RBI as the Huskies fell to George Mason on May 2...hit his first home run of the season May 1 against George Mason...hit a RBI single in the eighth inning that would score the eventual game winning run against VCU on April 26...scored a run and had one RBI against VCU on April 25...went 2-for-3 with a run scored against Dallas Baptist on April 11...hit a two-run double in the top of the ninth against Boston College March 30....scored two runs and had a RBI in the Huskies 14-3 victory against Hofstra March 27...hit his first home run of the season March 7 against Ohio State in the bottom of the ninth...hit the game winning run home March 6 against Central Michigan...in the bottom of the seventh he made a brilliant diving catch robbing Duquesne and helping the Huskies to a 3-2 victory March 5...cleared the bases knocking in three runs in the bottom of the ninth and scored the game winning run in the Huskies 4-3 walk-off win March 1 against Northwestern.
2008: Finished fourth on the Huskies' among qualifying players with a .293 batting average, third with 15 doubles and six homers, fourth with 25 RBI and third with a .494 slugging percentage...went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in NU's 11-8 win vs. Bowling Green on Mar. 2...smacked a three-run homer in the Huskies' 10-9 win over IPFW on Mar. 8 at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Fla...went 3-for-4 with three doubles, and RBI and a run scored in NU's 5-3 win at Delaware on March 15...went 2-for-4 with a double in the Huskies' 10-6 win at George Mason on March 21...homered vs. Georgia State March 28...went 3-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored in NU's 14-6 win at Georgia State March 29...went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored vs. Boston College in the opening round of the Beanpot at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA...went 2-4 with a double at VCU April 12...went 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored in NU's 7-6, 10-inning victory vs. Harvard in the consolation game of the Beanpot at Fenway Park April 15...combined to go 4-for-7 with three doubles, a homer, three RBI and three runs scored in the Huskies' doubleheader vs. Towson April 19...went 2-4 with his 10th double of the season at Old Dominion April 26...went 2-3 with a double and a run scored in NU's 7-3 setback at Old Dominion April 27...finished 2-for-3 with an RBI-double in the Huskies' 8-5 win vs. Hofstra in game one of a doubleheader May 3...cranked a two-run homer in the Huskies' 10-4 win at William & Mary May 9...went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double in game one of a doubleheader vs. URI May 13...went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in NU's 10-2 win vs. James Madison May 15...belted a leadoff homer in the Huskies' final game of the season vs. James Madison.
2007: Hit .259 and led all Husky rookies with five home runs and 33 runs scored to go along with 17 RBI...singled on the first pitch of the game from Josh Beckett in the Huskies’ annual exhibition against the 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox on March 1...scored three runs and broke a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning with the eventual game-winning, three-run home run in NU’s regular season-opener against Indiana-Purdue on March 3...went 3-for-5 with a homer and two runs scored at Towson on March 25...had two hits and a pair of runs against Old Dominion on March 31...went 3-for-8 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in the Huskies’ doubleheader sweep at Winthrop on April 13...made a tremendous diving catch on the first out of the game in the Huskies 2-0 Beanpot Championship win vs. Boston College at Fenway Park on April 25...homered in his only at-bat in the Huskies’ 17-12 win vs. UMass on May 9...homered in NU’s 6-4 win at Hofstra on May 11.

High School: Played three seasons as an outfielder and pitcher at Bellaire High School...captained team for one season...was named team MVP and All-District and was the recipient of the Knoblauch Award in 2005...led team in batting average, home runs and stolen bases his senior season...team was district champion in 2003 and ’05.
