The most memorable moment in the history of Husky sports occurs with a 5-4 overtime win over Boston College on Feb. 11 to give Northeastern its first Beanpot in the 27-year history of the tournament. Paul McDougall ties the game in the third period and Wayne "Beanpot" Turner nets the winner just 2:47 into overtime, giving the Huntington Hounds the 'Pot. NU goalie George Demetroulakos wins the Eberly Award.

The Huskies roll to a 7-3 win over Harvard in round one and then capture their second Beanpot Championship by taming the Terriers of Boston Univesity on Feb. 13. Thanks to the spectacular play of NU goalie Tim Marshall, who earns oth MVP and Eberly Award honors, and goals by the brothers Averill (Bob and Jim), Jay Heinbuck, Ken Manchurek and Randy Bucyk, the Huskies notch a 5-2 title game victory.

After dispatching Boston College 4-2 on the first Monday, Northeastern wins its third Beanpot title via a spectacular 32-save, Eberly Award-winning performance by freshman goaltender Bruce Racine. Goals by Greg Neary, Kevin Heffernan, Rod Isbister and Mark Lori enable the Huskies to defeat crosstown rival Boston University 4-2 for their second straight championship. Racine takes home the Most Valuable Player Award as well.

NU wins its fourth Beanpot of the decade, the most of any school in the tournament and NU's third in five seasons. Bruce Racine turns in another spectacular goaltending performance and receives the Eberly Award for the second time. Racine, who earned his first collegiate shutout versus BC in the first round Feb. 1, turns away 25 shots in the championship game against Boston University. David O'Brien's two goals lead NU in its 6-3 victory.

NU captures its fifth Beanpot title in program history, ending a 30-year drought. Northeastern's Big Three of MVP Adam Gaudette, Dylan Sikura and Nolan Stevens all scored in the semifinal game against Boston College before Gaudette recorded the first NU hat trick in the Beanpot since 2013 in the championship game against Boston University. Rookie Cayden Primeau backstopped the Huskies all tournament long, steering aside 75-of-77 shots to earn the Eberly Award.

For the first time since the mid-1980s, Northeastern renewed its lease with the Beanpot bringing it back to Huntington Avenue for the second straight year. On the back of Tyler Madden’s OT winner against Boston Univ. in the semifinal, the Huskies faced off vs. Boston College for a chance to defend the title. Northeastern knocked off the Eagles 4-2 in the championship game for the first time since 1980 as Austin Plevy, Patrick Schule, Lincoln Griffin, and Zach Solow all scored, while Cayden Primeau was a stalwart in net making 33 saves earning him MVP and Eberly Award honors.

For the first time in Northeastern history the Huskies won their third straight Beanpot with a 5-4 double overtime win over Boston University. The Huskies fought back from being down 2-0 with four straight goals from Tyler Madden, Aidan McDonough, Zach Solow and Grant Jozefek. Jordan Harris added the game winner in double overtime to lift the Huskies to the Championship. Solow had two goals during the Beanpot tournament to earn MVP honors. Craig Pantano was great in net earning the Eberly Award with a .931 Save pct. and a 2.16 GAA.
