TEAM
• Northeastern secured a bye into the Hockey East quarterfinals on Friday night. The Huskies can finish anywhere from first to fifth in the final league standings.
• The Huskies picked up their 18th win of the season, tied for the 10th most in program history.
• Friday marked Northeastern’s 12th Hockey East win of the season. It’s just the seventh time in team history that the Huskies have recorded at least 12 conference victories.
• Northeastern now has Hockey East series victories over five teams (Boston University, Maine, UMass Lowell, Merrimack and Vermont).
• Northeastern is outscoring opponents 35-15 in the first period this season, a +20 goal differential that leads the nation.
INDIVIDUAL
• Adam Gaudette broke the school record for career power play goals on Friday night with 32, a record that stood since 1995. Gaudette passed Rod Isbister and J.F. Aube for the new record in 109 career games, 18 fewer games than Isbister (127 games) and 25 fewer than Aube (134 games).
• Gaudette is now tied for 19th on Northeastern’s career goals list (63) and 26th in career scoring (133 points).
• Dylan Sikura is now 25th on Northeastern’s all-time scoring list with 135 points and 17th on the career assists list (84).
• Gaudette (48 points) and Sikura (43 points) are still first and second in the nation, respectively, in scoring this season. Gaudette leads the nation with 25 goals and Sikura is second in assists (28). Gaudette (11) and Sikura (10) are second and third in the NCAA, respectively, in power play goals.
• Gaudette and Sikura became the ninth and 10th players in team history to record 100 points in two seasons on Friday night.
• Cayden Primeau made at least 30 saves for the fourth straight game, and sixth time this season.
• Jeremy Davies extended his point streak to four games (eight assists), and recorded his fifth multi-point game of the season.
• Zach Solow has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games, and logged his sixth multi-point effort of the season.
• Solow’s shorthanded goal was Northeastern’s third of the season, and first since Jan. 6 against Bentley (Adam Gaudette)
