TEAM
• Northeastern can finish either second or third in the final Hockey East standings. A win on Saturday solidifies its spot in second, and would be the highest finish in the final league standings since the 2008-09 season.
• Northeastern hits 20 wins for the seventh time and 14 Hockey East wins for the third time in program history.
• NU has now won 12 or more games at home for the fifth time in school history.
• The win ties a season-high four game win streak.
• The eight goals marks NU's first eight-goal showing against the Wildcats since Feb. 10, 1989 when the Huskies topped UNH, 8-2.
• The win was also NU's greatest margin of victory against UNH since beating the Wildcats 13-4 on Feb. 14, 1949.
• The Huskies scored two power play goals for the third time in the last four games. They are 11-2-0 this season when scoring at least two power play goals.
INDIVIDUAL
• Adam Gaudette continues to lead the national scoring race with 54 points this season. He is also first in points per game (1.64) and total goals (28).
• Gaudette is now tied for 11th in career goals at Northeastern with 67, and leads all active NCAA skaters in goals.
• Gaudette extended his point streak to six games (nine goals, six assists) on Friday. He has goals in each of those games.
• Dylan Sikura is second in the nation in scoring with 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists), and leads the NCAA in assists (31).
• Sikura moved into a tie for 20th on Northeastern’s all-time scoring list with 140 points (53 goals, 87 assists) and into sole possession of 14th on Northeastern’s all-time assists list (87).
• Sikura extended his point streak to seven games (four goals, nine assists). He has assists in each of those games, which ties a career long (Nov. 18 – Dec. 30, 2016).
• Brandon Schultz scored his second career goal, both coming at Matthews Arena.
• Biagio Lerario and Austin Goldstein recorded their first multi-point games as Huskies.
• Brandon Hawkins, Nolan Stevens and Zach Solow each tallied two assists. Hawkins has four assists in his last two games, while Stevens has points in six of his last seven games (four goals, six assists).
