Stats of the Game: Northeastern vs. Providence | Mar. 16, 2018

TEAM
• Friday’s loss snapped the Huskies’ seven-game winning streak, which was the third longest streak in team history and longest active streak in the NCAA.
 
• The Huskies are 2-7 all-time in Hockey East semifinal matchups, and 2-4 against Providence in the Hockey East tournament.
 
• This was Northeastern’s first overtime semifinal game since 2009 against UMass Lowell, and the 10th overtime game of the 2017-18 season.

• Northeastern has suffered three overtime losses this season, and two to Providence. 
 
• The Huskies’ secondary scoring has produced 15 goals in the last eight games.
  
• This was the first time that the Huskies allowed their opponents to register the opening goal since February 17 against Vermont.
 
• Despite Friday’s loss, Northeastern will finish the season with the fewest losses since the 1981-82 Frozen Four team (25-9-2).
 
INDIVIDUAL
• Adam Gaudette became the 10th player in team history to record 60 points in a season, and the 12th in the NCAA to do it since 2012-13.
 
• Gaudette extended his point-streak to 10 games, while also having at least one assist in five-straight games, a career-best for the junior.
 
• Gaudette’s assist on Sikura’s goal was his 60th point of the season, the most in the nation. He also leads the NCAA in points per game (1.62).
  
• Dylan Sikura’s second period goal was his 21st of the season, tying his season-best from 2016-17, and his fourth of the 2018 Hockey East tournament.
 
• Sikura moved into a tie for 14th on Northeastern’s all-time scoring list with 145 points, while Gaudette moved into a tie for 16th (142) as a Husky.

• Sikura scored off an assist from Gaudette for the 11th time this season.
 
• Jeremy Davies extended his point-streak to four games with an assist on Austin Goldstein’s goal.
 
• Davies moved to 34 points on the season, the most for a Northeastern defenseman since Jim Fahey in 2001-02. He is tied for sixth in points (34) and tied for third in assists (28) among defensemen in the nation

• Freshman Austin Goldstein scored his first collegiate goal to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead early in the third period.
