2013: Prior to the season, named co-captain … Went 4 innings in the season-opener at Houston (2/15), throwing three strikeouts and allowing one walk … Struck out four and got a no decision, giving up just three earned runs in the 10-8 loss against UT Arlington (2/22) … Earned his first win of the season, going 5.0 innings against Chicago St., allowing just two earned runs, while striking out four and not issuing a walk (3/1) … Made his first appearance in nearly two months on April 27 against Georgia St.; gave up two hits and three runs in 1.2 innings of relief work, striking one out (4/27) … Pitched 1.1 innings of relief at Bryant on April 30, giving up just one unearned run … Made his first start since April 27 when he took the hill vs. UNCW in the CAA Tournament on May 24; went 5.0 innings, yielding four runs on five hits, striking out a season-best four batters to earn the no-decision in the Huskies' victory.

Before NU: played three years of varsity baseball at St. Johns Prep School in Danvers, Mass. for coach Pat Yanchus…captained the team for one season…team MVP and an All-Scholastic choice in 2009…also played one season of varsity basketball.
Personal: Born March 2, 1991 to John and Karen Carmain…has one sister, Chelsea…majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice with hopes to become either a psychologist or a state police officer…Class of 2014.
