Erik Carlson enters his second season as the Northeastern baseball team’s director of player development and scouting during 2020, having joined the program in January 2019. His duties include overseeing the operation of the program’s development technology, utilizing it to advance student-athlete performance while also generating text and video scouting reports for competitions.
Carlson graduated from Nichols College in 2017 with his bachelor’s degree in accounting. While there, he served as the student team manager of the baseball team for three seasons before earning promotion to director of operations during his senior year.
Following his graduation, Carlson returned to Nichols during the fall of 2018 to serve as the baseball team's director of player development.
