2012: Came on for an inning and a third in the season opener at Jacksonville and took the loss, allowing one run on two hits (Feb. 24)…recorded his first career save with a scoreless ninth inning against St. Bonaventure (March 5)…shut the door in the bottom of the tenth for his second save of the season against Georgetown (March 6) …came on and got out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth inning at William and Mary, allowing just one run before getting a batter to line out and end the inning (March 11)…threw two scoreless innings against Georgia State, allowing just one hit (March 16)…pitched an inning of scoreless relief in a win at Richmond (March 23)…threw 1.2 innings at Rhode Island, allowing just one unearned run (April 3)…came on and pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth against UMass in the Beanpot (April 10)…pitched three innings of relief against George Mason allowing just one run on two hits while striking out four of the 12 batters he faced (April 14) …finished the game against UNCW, pitching four innings and allowing four runs on seven hits with four strikeouts (April 21)…notched his first win of the season after retiring just one batter in the top of the ninth inning in the first game of a doubleheader with Towson (April 28)…in his first career start, against Boston College on May 1, surrendered six runs in 4.1 innings, but allowed just four hits and struck out four...allowed two runs on three hits over 2.1 innings with a pair of strikeouts against Hofstra on May 5...tossed two shutout innings on two hits with a K against UConn on May 8...contributed a perfect inning with two strikeouts to a win over Old Dominion on May 11...came back the following day and allowed two runs on just one hit in 1.1 innings...in his final career home game, surrendered two hits and a run in 2.2 innings in a loss to Rhode Island...wrapped up the year with three earned runs on five hits with one strikeout in 2.1 innings at Delaware.
2011: Struck out one in 2/3 innings ina 4-2 loss to James Madison (may 21)...fired a perfect frame in a 8-2 victory over Delaware (May 14)...retired his lone batter ina 4-3 victory over Delaware (May 13)...earned the victory after tossing 3-2/3 innings of shutout ball in a 4-3 win over CCSU (May 11)...hurled a perfect eighth inning in a 5-0 loss to James Madison (May 19)...went 1-1/3 innings of one-hit ball in a 5-2 loss to Delaware (May 14)...tossed a shutout frame in a 12-5 victory over George Mason (May 8)...fired a perfect ninth in a 6-1 loss to Boston College (April 20)...hurled a shutout eighth inning in NU's 4-3 loss to Towson (April 1)...struck out two Monarch's batters in 1.0 inning in a 10-3 loss at ODU (March 19)...thew 1.0 inning in a 5-2 loss to UNC Wilmington (March 12)...pitched 2/3 perfect innings, including one strikeout, to close the door on Western Michigan in the Huskies' 11-8 win (March 7)...pitched 2.0 shutout innings against Rhode Island, striking out one, in a 3-2 loss to Rhode Island (March 4)...struck out two and allowed two unearned runs in 1-2/3 innings in a 4-0 loss to Florida International (March 2)...struck out three in 3.0 innings in Northeastern's 6-3 opening day loss to Sacred Heart.
2010: Made two appearances, racking up six strikeouts in just 3-2/3 innings...tossed the final two outs, including one strikeout, in NU's 10-7 loss to Georgia State (May 14).
2009: Started in 28 games for the Huskies while battling injury, scored 13 runs on 19 hits and had 5 RBI...went 3-4 and hit his first career home run in the Huskies 14-3 win over Hofstra March 27...in the Huskies first extra inning game of the year on March 2 Berg scored the winning run for the Huskies in the 11th inning.
High School: Played four years of varsity ball for Poly Prep...captained the team his senior season...received All-Conference honors his final three years...named to the Top 30 in Metro Rise Magazine...guided team to back to back league and state championships...undefeated in league play during 2007-08 season.
