
Antonio Reynolds-Dean returns for his fifth season on Bill Coen’s coaching staff. Reynolds-Dean works for the Huskies in numerous roles including recruiting, directing individual player improvement and other day-to-day operations. Reynolds-Dean previously served a one-year stint as the director of basketball operations at Fairfield. He also brings nine years of experience playing professional basketball to Northeastern.
Reynolds-Dean lettered at Rhode Island from 1995 to 1999, playing for head coach Al Skinner with Coen serving as an assistant coach from 1995 to 1997.
Prior to joining Fairfield, Reynolds-Dean played basketball professionally in the United States and abroad. Most recently, he played in Argentina. He also has seven years experience playing in the European League and played one season with the Dakota Wizards of the International Basketball Association, where he was the 1999-00 Rookie of the Year and led the league in rebounding (12.2 RPG).
In college, Reynolds-Dean starred at Rhode Island, where he finished his career with 1,576 points and placed second all-time in career blocks (235) and third all-time in career rebounds (1,028). He also holds the Rhode Island record for most consecutive games appeared and started in (131). He was the 1995-96 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year after averaging 12.1 points per game. He also was an Atlantic 10 All-Defensive team pick in 1996-97 and a third-team All-Atlantic 10 selection in 1998-99.
With the Rams, Reynolds-Dean reached the postseason in each of his four seasons, including an appearance in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in 1998. As a senior, Reynolds-Dean helped Rhode Island win the 1999 Atlantic 10 Tournament, its first-ever tournament championship.
Reynolds-Dean holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Rhode Island.
