Lauren Tebsherany

Lauren Tebsherany begins her third season as the director of operations for the Northeastern men's basketball program in 2023-24. She has more than a decade of experience working with collegiate basketball teams, including three years as the coordinator of operations for Northeastern women's basketball program, and one season working in a dual capacity for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Her responsibilities at Northeastern include the coordination of team travel, management of the men’s basketball office and serving as the liaison with department support services, among other duties. She is one of just 34 women in the country to be working on a Division I men's college basketball staff.

A cum laude graduate from Boston College in 2013, she arrived at NU after spending four seasons in the same role at Bryant University, where she received her master’s degree with honors in 2015. Tebsherany also earned a master's degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern in 2019.

While serving as the director of women’s basketball operations at Bryant, Tebsherany assisted the program in all day-to-day areas, including the organization of team travel, adherence to NCAA compliance regulations, direction of scouting and film exchange, and coordination of student-athlete academic necessities. From 2013 to 2017, her primary role with the Bulldogs was acting as the liaison between the student-athletes and the coaching staff and athletic administration, facilitating the balance between the team’s competitive, academic, and public service activities.

In addition to managing Bryant’s internal team responsibilities, Tebsherany also spent time developing the program’s external reach, organizing its youth basketball clinics while communicating frequently with the Black & Gold booster club. During her four-year tenure at Bryant, the Bulldogs made four consecutive NEC semifinal appearances, finishing runner-up during the 2017 league championship game.

Before arriving at Bryant, Tebsherany was a four-year manager with the Boston College women’s basketball team, serving as head manager during the 2012-13 season. While working with the Eagles, she aided in the logistics of the women’s basketball program, while working various jobs throughout the athletic department. Tebsherany also interned with the Boston Celtics in media services during the 2012-13 season, where she was responsible for administrative and basketball-related activities on game days.
