Daniel Adamietz joined Northeastern at the start of the 2015-16 season, and works primarily with the field hockey and women's rowing teams.
Growing up in Verndale, Minnesota, Adamietz moved to Fargo, North Dakota to earn his bachelor’s degree at North Dakota State University in 2011. While working towards his bachelor’s degree, he gained experience with multiple sports and completed his capstone with women’s basketball.Â
Adamietz continued his education at North Dakota State by entering their Master’s of Science program with a research focus on critical thinking and education. While in graduate school, he worked with a local junior high school, North Dakota State’s Spring Football program and started his time with Essentia Health in Minnesota.Â
During his time with Essentia Health, Adamietz was assigned to four high schools and the clinic location in Ada, Minnesota. While there, he became a Registered Orthopedic Technologist, completed regular rotations with physicians, and acquired a Fascial Muscle Taping certification.Â
Adamietz has volunteered with the World Anti-Doping Agency, 2015 World Figure Skating Championships, and the Boston Athletic Association to cover their various running events including the Boston Marathon. He has also worked with USA Volleyball as part of their tournament medical staff. Dan’s professional interests are critical thinking, AT/PT education, recovery optimization, acute injury management, PRI, and splinting and casting. Â
