Kindyll Dorsey

Kindyll Dorsey enters her third season as assistant coach of the Northeastern women's basketball team during 2017-18, having joined the coaching staff prior to the 2015-16 season.

Dorsey arrived at Northeastern after serving as the assistant women's basketball coach at Holy Cross. During her tenure with the Crusaders, she focused on the development of the team’s guards while assisting with all aspects of recruiting and game scouting.

Prior to her time at Holy Cross, Dorsey spent two seasons as the girls' varsity basketball head coach at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From 2012 to 2014, she guided the Knights to a two-year record of 32-18 while mentoring student-athletes in their academic, athletic, and social experiences.

Dorsey brings more than seven years of coaching with her to Northeastern from the New England Crusaders AAU program, where she served as head coach between 2007 and 2014. Under her direction, she aided elite high school student-athletes in improving their conceptual understanding of the game while providing them with a platform to continue academics and athletics at the collegiate level.

Before coaching at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols, Dorsey held the same position at Merrimack High School, where she was nominated for New Hampshire Coach of the Year during the 2008-09 season.

A four-year letterwinner and captain of the women’s basketball team at Boston College, Dorsey graduated from BC with her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts in 2007. During her career, she helped the Eagles win the 2004 BIG EAST championship and make three NCAA tournament appearances, including two trips to the regional semifinals (2004, 2006). Dorsey also played professionally for the Sandyford Meteors in Sandyford, Ireland in 2008.
