Kristina Coppolino enters her first season as a student assistant coach for the Northeastern women’s basketball program. Coppolino joins the staff after playing forward for the Huskies during the 2008-09 season.
Coppolino appeared in 12 games for Northeastern before suffering a season-ending injury.
The Holmdel, N.J. native played four years of varsity basketball at Red Bank Catholic High School. Coppolino served as captain her senior season and helped lead her team to three division championships and two conference championships. Red Bank Catholic also won the State Championship of Parochial.
She was named All-County her senior year and awarded All-State honors her sophomore and junior seasons.
Coppolino is a communications major at Northeastern and a member of the class of 2012.
