Thompson was named to Edward-Lloyd's staff in September 2025 and brings both collegiate and professional playing experience to Boston.
Prior to Northeastern, Thompson has spent time as both a basketball trainer and videographer in the Connecticut area. She provided instruction in the fundamentals of basketball including - dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and footwork. Outside of fundamentals, Thompson developed and implemented individualized basketball training plans for her clients.
As a player, Thompson played at Georgia, Penn State, and East Carolina in college. At Georgia, she averaged 6.8 points per game, 2.4 rebounds, and 18.7 minutes per game. At Penn State, Thompson recorded 7.8 points per game, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. In Thompson's three years at East Carolina, she tallied 15 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Professionally, she played for Gallardo, Turkey, where at the conclusion of her season, her stat line read 17.2 points per game, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and shot a 0.427 clip from the field.
Thompson graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication in 2023 from Penn State and earned a post-degree certificate in learning, design & technology from Georgia in 2024.
